Original Question:
Stan Bodzick asked us:
“Is there any way to book a callback appointment in my calendar using a pipeline stage and a trigger?”
Answer:
Currently, it is not possible to book an appointment automatically using a Pipeline Stage in conjunction with a Trigger because the system wouldn’t know what time to schedule the appointment. However, you can manually book an appointment directly from your Pipeline View while working with an opportunity.
Here’s how:
- Open Your Pipeline
- Navigate to the Opportunities section in Agent CRM.
- Select the pipeline where the contact is located.
- Select the Opportunity
- Click on the white space of the opportunity (contact) you want to schedule a callback for.
- Book the Appointment
- In the Opportunity Information panel that opens, click on Add/Edit Appointment at the top.
- Choose the appropriate calendar and time slot for the appointment.
- Optionally, update the meeting location and appointment title (default settings will use “I will call you” for the location and the contact’s name as the title).
- Confirm and Save
- Click Update, and the appointment will be scheduled on your calendar.
- If you have automation set up, you can then move the contact to the “Appointment Scheduled” stage manually or use a trigger to automate that movement once the appointment is booked.
Since the system does not know the specific time you want to schedule an appointment, it is not possible to automate the booking through a pipeline stage alone. However, once the appointment is scheduled, you can set up a trigger to move the contact to the appropriate stage automatically.
