Original Question:

Oliver Stewart asked us:
“Say you have a seminar date of X and you want to send a text X minus 24 to each of the attendees? How would you put this in a campaign so when the leads came in, it would be set? In other words, how do you set an X date without having an appointment date to reference, so that all attendees in the campaign would use the same date? Thanks.”

Answer:

Yes, you can schedule text messages to be sent relative to a specific event date—such as a seminar—without needing an appointment date to reference. Here’s how to do it in Agent CRM:

  1. Set Up Your Campaign
    • Go to MarketingCampaigns and create a new campaign for your seminar attendees.
  2. Configure the Event Start Date
    • In your campaign settings, find the Campaign Configuration tab.
    • Locate the Event Start Date setting—this will be your seminar date (X).
    • Enter the date of the seminar so that all messages in the campaign will reference it as a fixed event.
  3. Schedule Your Reminder Message
    • When adding a new text message to the campaign, set it to “Send before 24 hours.”
    • This ensures that all attendees receive the reminder exactly 24 hours before the seminar starts.

With this setup, any new leads added to the campaign will automatically be scheduled to receive messages relative to the Event Start Date, making it a seamless way to handle event-based reminders.
