Somewhere in your book of business, there’s a client who isn’t actually your client anymore.
Maybe a call center reached them last month and talked them into a “better” plan. Maybe their cousin got licensed and made a pitch at Thanksgiving. Either way, the switch already happened. You just haven’t found out yet.
That gap — the time between when a client leaves and when you find out — is where commissions quietly disappear. It’s also where good clients end up on worse plans, without anyone telling them what they actually gave up.
Why This Keeps Happening
Most agents find out about a lost client one of two ways: renewal season, or a chargeback notice. Both come months after the damage is done. By then, the client has already been on the new plan long enough to get used to it, and a win-back conversation feels like starting from zero.
It’s not that agents aren’t paying attention. It’s that nobody can manually check CMS for every single client, every single month. There isn’t enough time in the day.
What Changes When You Can See It Coming
Picture this instead: a client gets switched on a Tuesday. By Thursday, you already know. Not just that something changed, but exactly what changed — their new max out-of-pocket, which benefits they lost, whether their deductible reset. You call them with real information, not a guess.
That’s the difference between “Hey, did something happen with your plan?” and “I saw you moved to a new plan, and I want to make sure you know it comes with a $2,000 higher out-of-pocket max before you’re stuck with it.” One of those conversations wins the client back. The other one usually doesn’t.
This is exactly what Agent CRM’s integration with MAPD Tool was built to do. It connects directly to CMS through your own Marx login and checks your entire book of business automatically, twice a month, with the option to run a check any time you want. When it finds a mismatch, it pulls the plan comparison for you and gets a compliant outreach sequence moving before you even open your laptop.
It also checks something most agents never think to check: whether the commissions you think you earned actually hit CMS. If one didn’t accrete, or paid out lower than it should have, you’ll see it.
The Real Opportunity Here
This isn’t about working harder. It’s about not finding out too late. Every client you catch before renewal season is a client you keep, a commission you protect, and a relationship that gets stronger because you showed up before they had to ask.
If you’re a Medicare agent and you don’t currently have a way to monitor your book against CMS automatically, this is the gap to close before this next enrollment season. Every agent using Agent CRM has access to it right now, with an exclusive rate and a free first check to see exactly where you stand.
Go see what it finds. You might be surprised how many clients need a phone call this week.

A Note on Security, Privacy, and Your MARx Login
We want to be fully transparent about how this tool works and what that means for you.
MAPD Tool accesses CMS data by logging in using your MARx credentials. This is the same way many agencies manually check eligibility — but because it’s done through software rather than by you directly, it technically falls outside the designed use case described in MARx’s Terms of Service. You’re using this tool at your own risk, and you should decide for yourself whether it fits within your carrier agreements.
Here’s what’s in place to protect you:
- Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are live at app.mapdtool.com/terms and app.mapdtool.com/privacy. They address the MARx login, CMS verification, and how client data is handled.
- All stored client data is encrypted at rest.
- Data transfer between MAPD Tool and Agent CRM is encrypted, though it is not HIPAA-certified at this time.
If you have questions about how the integration handles your data, you can review the FAQ page or reach MAPD Tool’s support team via Otto (their AI assistant) or by email and Zoom.
