Answer:
If you’re experiencing issues importing contacts into Agent CRM, here are a few common reasons and how to fix them.
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Missing Required Fields
Each contact must have at least one of the following:
- A phone number
- An email address
If neither is present, the system will not allow the import.
2. Formatting Errors in the CSV File
- Ensure your column headers match Agent CRM’s required fields, such as First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone
- The CSV file should be free of extra spaces or special characters in column names
3. Duplicate Contacts
- If a contact already exists in your CRM with the same email or phone number, Agent CRM will update the existing record instead of creating a duplicate
- To override duplicates, adjust the settings during the import
4. Incorrect File Format
- The file must be saved as .CSV (Comma-Separated Values)
- If needed, open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and re-save it as a CSV
5. Encoding Issues
- If your file contains special characters such as accents or symbols, save the CSV with UTF-8 encoding to prevent errors
Steps to Successfully Import Contacts into Agent CRM
- Go to Contacts > Import Contacts
- Click “Select File” and upload your CSV
- Map your columns to the corresponding Agent CRM fields
- Check the box to update existing contacts if needed
- Click “Import” and wait for confirmation
