Original Question:
Larry Gatz asked:
“Is there a way to allow multiple instances of a client in the same pipeline? I have a pipeline set up for client service requests and have two requests to complete for the same client. When I try to make the second one, it errors out on me saying that they already exist in the pipeline.”
Answer:
Yes! Agent CRM allows you to add the same client to a pipeline multiple times, but you need to adjust a setting first.
By default, Agent CRM prevents duplicate opportunities in the same pipeline to avoid redundancy. However, since you’re handling multiple service requests for the same client, you’ll want to enable duplicate opportunities.
How to Enable Duplicate Opportunities in a Pipeline
- Go to Settings > Company
- Find the option labeled “Allow Duplicate Opportunity”
- Check the box to enable this setting
- Click Save
Once enabled, you can add the same client to the pipeline multiple times, allowing you to track and manage separate service requests independently.
Why This is Useful?
- Manages multiple requests from the same client efficiently
- Keeps each request tracked separately in your pipeline
- Prevents system errors that block duplicate entries
This is especially helpful for businesses handling ongoing client needs, such as service requests, policy changes, or support cases.
