We know that a successful appointment can make all the difference in closing a sale. But how do we ensure that our potential clients actually show up to those appointments? I have discovered the text messaging sequence that will increase your show-up rate.

The first text should be sent immediately after the appointment is booked. This message should include a professional headshot of yourself, along with a friendly reminder of the date and time of the appointment. This not only establishes a personal connection with the client but also serves as a visual reminder for them.

The second text should be sent 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. This time, include a photo of your family or team. This allows the client to see the personal side of you and further strengthens the connection. It also serves as a subtle reminder that you are a real person, not just a salesperson.

The third and final text should be sent 30 minutes before the appointment. This text should include a photo of you holding your phone, along with a message stating that you will be calling them in 30 minutes. This not only adds a personal touch but also creates a sense of urgency for the client to show up on time.

Sending too many texts can be overwhelming and may make the client feel pressured, leading them to back out of the appointment. On the other hand, not sending any texts may cause the client to forget about the appointment altogether. By sending these three texts, you are providing gentle reminders without being too pushy.

I cannot stress enough the importance of including photos in each of these texts. As insurance agents, we are constantly building relationships with our clients, and photos can help establish a personal connection. It also adds a human touch to the conversation and makes the client more likely to trust and feel comfortable with you.

I have seen the impact of this strategy with insurance agents who have implemented it.

Sending more than three texts can have the opposite effect and actually decrease your show-up rate. In fact, I recently spoke to an agent who was sending five or six texts, and their show-up rate was suffering as a result.
