If you’ve ever sat down to write a social media post for your insurance business and felt completely stuck — or if you started posting, then fell off for three weeks — you’re not alone. Consistency is the #1 challenge insurance agents face with social media. Agent CRM’s Social Planner was built to fix that.
This guide walks you through every major feature of the Social Planner as it stands in 2026, including updates from the past two years that many agents haven’t discovered yet.
What Is the Social Planner?
The Social Planner is built directly into Agent CRM’s dashboard. It lets you write, schedule, and auto-publish posts to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, TikTok, Twitter/X, and Pinterest — all from one place.
Instead of logging in and out of every platform, you draft once, pick your platforms, set a time, and let Agent CRM handle the rest.
Step 1: Connect Your Social Accounts
- Log in to Agent CRM and go to Marketing → Social Planner.
- Click Settings (gear icon) in the top right.
- Select Connect Account and choose each platform you want to link.
- Follow the on-screen OAuth prompts to authorize Agent CRM to post on your behalf.
Pro tip: Connect your Facebook Business Page (not your personal profile) so posts appear branded to your agency.
Step 2: Create a New Post
- From the Social Planner dashboard, click + New Post.
- Select the social profiles you want to publish to (you can select multiple).
- Write your caption in the text box.
- Add an image, video, or use the built-in image editor to create custom graphics.
New in 2026: You can now upload a different image for each platform in the same post — great for tailoring visuals to each audience.
Step 3: Use AI to Help Write Your Caption
Staring at a blank text box? Click the AI Assistant button (the magic wand icon) inside the post editor. You can prompt it with things like:
- “Write a post about why life insurance matters for young families”
- “Create a post promoting my Medicare AEP consultation offer”
- “Write something personal and conversational about client success”
The AI will generate a draft you can edit. Most agents tweak 20–30% of the output and publish the rest.
Step 4: Schedule Your Post
- Click Schedule (rather than Post Now).
- Choose your publish date and time.
- Click Schedule Post.
Your post will appear in the Calendar view with a colored dot showing which platforms it’s going to.
Best practice: Schedule posts 1–2 weeks in advance so you’re never scrambling. Block 30 minutes on Monday mornings to fill the next 2 weeks.
Step 5: Use the Content Calendar View
Switch to the Calendar tab to see all your upcoming posts at a glance. You can:
- Drag and drop posts to different dates
- Click any post to edit or reschedule
- Filter by platform to see what’s going where
This view is especially useful during AEP season when you’re running a high volume of posts.
Step 6: Manage Comments with Social Listening
New in 2025–2026: The Social Listening tab lets you see and respond to comments on your Facebook and Instagram posts directly inside Agent CRM. Most agents miss comments because they’re not checking Facebook regularly — Social Listening fixes that.
To use it:
- Click Social Listening in the left nav.
- View incoming comments sorted by platform.
- Reply directly in the Agent CRM dashboard.
Step 7: Review Your Analytics
After posts go live, check the Analytics tab to see reach, impressions, likes, comments, shares, and click-through rates. Look at your best-performing posts every month and ask: What made that one work? Then do more of it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I post the same content to all platforms at once?
Yes. But we recommend customizing the caption for each platform when possible — especially Instagram (use hashtags) vs. LinkedIn (more professional tone).
Can I reuse old posts?
You can duplicate any past post and edit it — a fast way to recycle evergreen content.
What if a post fails to publish?
Agent CRM will notify you with a red indicator in the calendar and an alert in your notifications. Simply reconnect the affected account and reschedule.
Ready to Start?
The Social Planner works best when it becomes a routine. Start with one post per week on two platforms, build the habit, then scale up.
