Justin Brock is one of the most successful people in the Medicare insurance space. He’s built a recognizable brand through Bobby Brock Insurance, MedicareCon, and his old CRM platform, “GoGuru Pro”. His community is loyal, and his track record speaks for itself.

So when Justin launched GoGuruX, I paid attention.

And I want to give you my honest take—because as someone who has spent years building software specifically for insurance agents, I care deeply about which tools you trust with your business. This is not a hit piece.

It’s the conversation I think you deserve to have before you move your entire agency onto a brand-new platform.

🔍 What I Don’t Know About GoGuruX — and Neither Do You (Yet)

When you evaluate a CRM, the marketing is never the question.

The questions are always the same:

  • ✅ Will it hold up under pressure?
  • 🔒 Is your data protected?
  • 🧭 Who controls the platform?
  • 🧰 What happens when something breaks?

Here are four areas that matter—especially for Medicare agents.

1) 🧨 It Hasn’t Been Stress-Tested Through AEP (Yet)

GoGuruX is the newest version of the platform. That means it hasn’t yet been battle-tested through a full AEP season at scale—the kind of high-pressure volume where weaknesses show up fast.

New software almost always has growing pains.

The real question is whether you want your agency to be the beta tester during your busiest season.

2) 🔐 Data Security Info Isn’t Prominently Disclosed

For Medicare agents, security is not a “nice to have.”

You’re handling sensitive client information (including PHI). You need clear answers like:

  • Where is the data stored?
  • Who has access?
  • What security standards are in place?
  • What protections exist if the company changes direction?

When I looked at GoGuru X, I couldn’t find clear public-facing documentation of the platform’s data security architecture. That’s something every agent should take seriously before migrating data and workflows.

3) 🏢 AmeriLife Owns 51% of the Company

In 2024, AmeriLife acquired a 51% stake in Justin Brock’s companies for $70 million.

I’m not saying that’s inherently bad—AmeriLife is a large, legitimate organization.

But you should understand the implications:

Your data, your workflows, your pipeline, and your agency operations would live inside software where a major distribution company has majority ownership.

That may be a non-issue for you.

Or it may be something you’d rather avoid.

Either way, it’s worth understanding before committing.

4) 🧑‍🔧 Support Options Aren’t a Headline Feature

Support is the difference between:

  • 🚀 a platform that accelerates you
  • 🧱 and a platform that becomes a liability

When I reviewed GoGuruX’s platform and marketing, the support model didn’t appear to be a major headline feature. In my experience, when support isn’t something a software company leads with, it usually isn’t one of their strong suits

A few questions I’d ask:

  • Do you get a live person or a ticket number?
  • How fast do you get help when something breaks?
  • What is their plan for upgrades and bug fixes?
  • Who will help you build out your account the way you want it?

✅ Here’s What I Know About Agent CRM

At Agent CRM, we’ve spent years building software, support systems, and a community specifically for independent insurance agents. This isn’t a side project. We wake up every day focused on one thing:

Helping insurance agents make more money, serve more clients, and build a better business.

Here’s what that looks like:

🧩 Purpose-Built for Insurance Agents

Agent CRM includes:

🛠️ Real, Responsive Support for Insurance Agents

We lead with support because we’re proud of it.

When you have a question, you get help from people who understand insurance agent workflows—because our team is trained for this industry specifically.

And we’ve been through high-volume seasons like AEP and Open Enrollment at scale. That matters, because it means the platform is already stress-tested.

🧠 Transparent, Independent, Built for Agents

We are not owned by a major insurance corporation.

Your data and your agency’s future are not tied to the strategic interests of a distribution company.

You are the client. Full stop.

“Our neutrality is our superpower” – Alex Branning

🧭 So What Should You Do?

I’m not here to tell you to never try GoGuruX. Justin Brock builds with intention, and GoGuruX may continue to improve. If you’re already deep in that ecosystem, it can make sense to explore.

But if you’re an independent agent looking for a proven, agent-first platform with a track record, real support, and transparent infrastructure…

I’d recommend trying Agent CRM first.
